Our collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and subject matter experts to create interactive elearning on managing respiratory diseases, launched via NHS Learning Hub.

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM) is the membership and standard-setting body for pharmaceutical physicians, committed to advancing the science and practice of pharmaceutical medicine. Their mission is to develop and maintain competence, ethics, integrity, and the highest professional standards for the benefit of the public.
With over 1,600 members in 39 countries, FPM plays a vital role in supporting effective medical care that meets patient needs.
In the wake of COVID-19, it became clear that healthcare professionals required enhanced knowledge and skills in the management of viral respiratory diseases. Seasonal surges of COVID-19, influenza and RSV present serious challenges to the NHS, straining capacity and complicating public health planning.
FPM wanted to provide a comprehensive, accessible, and clinically accurate eLearning series for UK healthcare professionals, particularly GPs.
FPM needed a creative, adaptable, and learner-focused partner – one that could transform complex written material into engaging, interactive elearning while managing shifting schedules. Our collaborative and flexible approach made them the ideal choice, delivering a high-quality programme aligned to FPM’s mission and vision.
"We selected to work with Day One because of their favourable rates, their instant understanding of our creative vision, and their flexible approach."
Day One Technologies collaborated with FPM and subject matter experts to create the Managing Respiratory Diseases elearning programme – a four-module, SCORM-compliant series launched via the NHS Learning Hub.

To avoid information overload, the content was carefully broken down into digestible segments, supported by real-world case studies, short video lectures, interactive knowledge checks, and gamification. Learners were able to explore prevention strategies, management approaches, and patient-centred care, while maintaining a strong emphasis on clinical accuracy.
"We were provided with a variety of interactive options for our content, and we were also offered plenty of opportunities to make suggestions around these. We felt that the case studies (suggested by Day One) particularly enhanced the learning.."
FPM Project Team
Delivered via the NHS Learning Hub, ensuring free, easy access for busy GPs, the programme launched in November 2024 and achieved rapid impact:
Learners praised its relevance and practicality:
“Greater understanding of new treatments, regulatory issues, and patient-centred care in respiratory disease management.”
The initiative not only enhanced professional competence but also reinforced FPM’s role as a leader in advancing pharmaceutical medicine education.
