Our financial stewardship training solution for US consultants at Baker Tilly. Engaging elearning for true-to-life investment scenarios.
Baker Tilly is one of the world’s top 10 global consulting and accounting services firms, with over 40,000 professionals operating across over 140 countries as of 2025. Baker Tilly US, LLP is based in Chicago, Illinois and has roots dating backet to 1931.
Baker Tilly were already accustomed to using elearning to train a geographically disparate workforce, but felt that their existing solutions just didn’t work. They lacked depth and often felt too gimmicky – style over substance.
They wanted training that would really engage their teams through interactivity and help to create a culture of learning by doing.
Baker Tilly US called on us at Day One to create some engaging elearning for financial stewardship training, having seen several examples of our work for the finance sector.
As well as experience in creating elearning for other global financial services companies, we were able to demonstrate the ability to turn complex and technical content into highly interactive and engaging training courses.
We demonstrated our understanding of their requirements in our proposal, and described how we could satisfy their objectives by creating the detailed and realistic material that was needed.
We worked closely with Baker Tilly’s subject matter experts to create investment scenarios with true-life activities based around detailed but fictitious financial profiles of investment targets.
These business simulations included gamification to make the training fun and add elements of competition. The materials were nuanced and realistic, with company financial reports for the learners to analyse.
“These business simulations have been creating a buzz around here”
