Our bespoke elearning for sustainability training at Coventry Building Society. An engaging course to help the company meet its environmental targets and initiatives.
Coventry Building Society is one of the largest financial services firms in the UK, primarily focused on savings and mortgages.
As a forward-thinking company, they are signed up to various sustainability targets and initiatives, and wanted to create engaging elearning to support this.
Coventry have long seen care for the environment as one of their core principles, but had not delivered sustainability awareness training on a company-wide level before.
They wanted something fresh and original to deliver ideas and information in an engaging manner to maintain learner interest, as this was to be optional training, rather than mandatory.
Coventry Building Society called on us at Day One to create engaging elearning for sustainability training having seen several examples of our work in the financial services sector.
As well as experience in creating elearning for other UK and global finance companies, we were able to demonstrate the ability to create vibrant, highly interactive, and engaging training courses.
We demonstrated our understanding of their requirements in our proposal, and described how we could help Coventry meet their sustainability agenda with a fun and interactive environmental awareness course.
We worked closely with Coventry’s stakeholders and subject matter experts to create visually-appealing elearning content packed with practical tips.
It needed to work well on mobile to deliver any time, anywhere learning.
Part of the solution was a pre-course advert (TikTok-style) to drive learner attention and engagement. The scenario-based content included gamification to make the training fun and add elements of competition.
There were various different types of interactions, easily digestible videos and an employee avatar to support learners through content exploration, with no rigid pathways.
Feedback so far on the Creating a Sustainable Society course has been extremely positive and Coventry are looking to engage 3,000 employees with the content, despite this being optional training.
